The HUB4700 caliber is the successor to the famous El Primero caliber – the first chronograph with an integrated automatic winding (1969), which was also the first mechanical chronograph with a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), allowing for a precision of 1/10 of a second. In a perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, this fully skeletonized movement is now equipped with a silicon regulating organ, ensuring avant-garde performance, precision, and reliability.

From the first use of rubber in watchmaking to the development of new precious alloys like scratch-resistant Magic Gold, and the creation of revolutionary composite materials such as ceramics and sapphire in unique colors – materials are always at the heart of the Hublot universe.
